Create an account for the person enrolling on our website. Select the class dates you’d like to book, review and sign the terms and conditions, then complete your payment online. Once payment is confirmed, your enrollment will be finalized!
We accept all major debit and credit cards, as well as cash payments made in person at any of our three locations. For in-person payments, we recommend creating an account in advance and selecting the class date you’d like to enroll in to ensure a quicker registration process.
This course is designed for adults (18+) seeking to obtain their driver's license for the first time, needs a refresher after a long period of not driving, or want o to brush on specific skills. It provides classroom learning, behind-the-wheel instruction, and preparation for both the written and driving exams.
Cancellations
A non-refundable $150 fee will be deducted from any Adult Drivers Ed cancellation made prior to the start date of the course. Cancellations made after the start date of the Adult Drivers Ed course are not eligible for a refund, as services remain available for use until expiration. Refund requests must be in compliance with the terms and conditions and submitted in writing to our customer service at contact@405drivingschool.com.
Fees
405 Driving School requires all customer accounts to have card payment stored on file to bill fees to. Fees incur due to canceling scheduled services with less than 24hrs notice, no-showing to appointments, arriving late (10 mins or more to lessons or 5mins or more to drive exams). Fees are subject to change without prior notice by 405 Driving School.
Non-refundable Drivers Ed Fee: $150 for cancellations made from time of purchase until the start date of the Drivers Ed course. Refunds are not available after services have begun.
$50 Fee for late cancellations, failure to appear for a scheduled appointment, and/or arriving at scheduled appointments without the required documentation (i.e. valid permit and photo photo identification). Photocopies or pictures of identification are not accepted. Customers who cancel an appointment with more than 24 hours notice will not be charged a fee.
Any expired services that have not been completed will need to be purchased at the rated advertised on our website.
The Adult Driver Education classroom portion consists of six Zoom sessions, each lasting two hours. These classes are offered three weekends per month. Behind-the-wheel lessons and exams are available for up to one year after purchase; however, we strongly recommend completing the full course within six months.

No, you do not need to have your Washington state permit by the first day of class. However, you must have a valid permit and a physical copy of your photo ID to begin your behind-the-wheel lessons.
Students will have access to online materials through Google Classroom, where they can view prerecorded videos to make up for any missed classes or to review the information for a refresher.
Driving lessons must be scheduled through your online account. Simply sign in, go to the Adult Drive Lesson tab, and select from the available times on the schedule.
Instructor names are listed on the drive lesson scheduling calendar; however, assignments may change in the event of a scheduling conflict. We also strongly encourage students to schedule lessons with multiple instructors to gain a broader range of learning experiences.
Our driving school primarily uses automatic Prius C vehicles for lessons at most locations. All driving lessons must be conducted in a school-provided vehicle. Use of personal vehicles for driving lessons is not allowed.
We do not offer home pick-up or drop-off services. All lessons and exams begin and end at the driving school.
For lessons, you will need the physical copy of a valid photo ID and Washington state learner's permit with you at the time of your lesson. For exams, you need to have the physical copy of a valid photo ID with you at the time of your test.

Yes, you must pass the written knowledge exam before being eligible to take the driving skills exam. After passing the knowledge exam you have up to 2 years to take and pass the driving exam.
After you have passed the written knowledge exam, you will have up to 2 years to take and pass the driving skills exam. You will need to schedule that appointment through your customer account where you will have the option to take the exam in the school's vehicle or your personal vehicle. If you use your own vehicle for the test, it must have valid registration, insurance, and be in good working order.
The driving instructor conducting your exam will provide feedback, including areas to practice at home. When you feel ready to retake the exam, you can book another appointment by signing into your account on our website.
